This victory has a special connection to the past, as Jamie Hartman also rode Its A Southern Thing (known as “Moonpie”), to an unforgettable performance in the 2015 AQHA World Show Junior Western Riding Finals. Jamie and Moonpie tied for first place with eventual 2015 AQHA Superhorse winner Snap Krackle Pop and Blake Weis. After a dramatic runoff ride, the pair tied again. Choosing not to ride a third time, the final placement was decided by a raw score, with only half a point separating the two teams. Despite finishing reserve, Jamie and Blake shared the victory lap—a moment celebrated for its sportsmanship and excellence, cementing it as one of the most memorable events in AQHA World Show history.

Now an accomplished show horse herself, Mable is slated to continue her career in 2025, focusing on western riding and western pleasure. Adding to her legacy, Mable is expecting a foal in early spring, sired by none other than the illustrious sire, Its A Southern Thing. Moonpie, a celebrated AQHA and NSBA leading sire, passed away in 2024, but his remarkable influence continues to live on through his offspring.
